This might some weird but you’d want to know the proper position for pooping. A lot of people may prefer squatting position, while some feel uncomfortable on the toilet seat in squatting position. The type of defecation posture chosen by an individual can affect his/her risk of developing various medical conditions, including defecation syncope (A brief loss of consciousness caused by inadequate blood flow to the brain) and death. You’re supposed to squat when you poop. Squatting is the way to do it.
Never ever, climb on the toilet! Toilet bowls are not made to be used in such a fashion. So, if you exercise unequal pressure with your feet, there is a high chance that the bowl will break, you fall on top of the shards which are extremely sharp and they cut some important parts of your anatomy! There are more than a dozen of cases like that. The toilet bowls are per definition full of nasties and infections are mildly put terrible.
When sitting on the toilet, with knees at a right angle, your puborectalis muscle, the muscle responsible for continence, relaxes only partially. But in a squatting posture, it releases completely. Basically, humans are designed not to leak, so in an upright position, there is a bend in our digestive tracts between the rectum and anus, that stops us from pooping.
