Sometimes your bra straps dig into your skin causing hyperpigmentation and leaving dark line in the shoulder region. Those ill-fitting straps that are too tight is not only unpleasant, it can leave unsightly marks. There are ways to prevent and eliminate these unnecessary bra strap marks.

Use lemon and curd pack: Curd helps moisturise the area while lemon helps lighten. Take 1 tbsp of slightly sour curd and squeeze half a lemon into it. Add a pinch of gram flour or besan and turmeric or haldi to the mixture. Apply on shoulders and leave it to dry. Gently scrub off using circular motions.

Exfoliate: Exfoliating your shoulders will help remove the dead skin cells that will fade the dark marks and make them less noticeable. Use a body scrub that contains glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids.
