While waiting for your appointment, you can try some home remedies in order to get rid of tooth ache. Some of the instructions and home remedies are as follows:
BRUSHING AND FLOSSING:
You should brush and then floss the teeth in order to remove any sort of trapped food particles that might be the cause of tooth ache. It is an important thing to do even the brushing and flossing cause pain. Constant use of an anti bacterial mouthwash is another important thing until you see the dentist.
RINSING WITH SALINE:
Rinsing mouth with warm water and salt after every hour is helpful in relieving the pain. Take half tea spoon of normal salt and mix it in eight oz. of warm water. You will get a saline mouth wash. Swish this solution around inside the mouth for about 30 seconds before you spit it out.
PEPPER AND SALT:
In case tooth becomes extremely sensitive you can apply the paste of pepper and salt to get relief from pain as both of the ingredients are anti inflammatory, anti bacterial and analgesic.
To make the paste take common salt and ground black pepper in equal amount. Add a few drops of water to make a paste. Now apply this paste on the affected tooth and leave it on the tooth for a few minutes. You can repeat the process for many days.
Clove is a great thing possessing anti bacterial, anti inflammatory, anesthetic and antioxidant properties. It is very supportive in alleviating tooth pain and fight against infection.
Take two ground cloves and mix the powder with some vegetable oil or olive oil. Apply the paste directly on the affected tooth.
Another method is to dab the cotton ball in the clove oil and then rub it on your sore tooth.
Mixing a few drops of clove oil in ½ glass of water and make a pain relieving mouth wash.
Onions keep antimicrobial and antiseptic properties to help control tooth ache. You can chew a raw onion to avoid pain. If not possible put a piece of onion on the affected tooth.
